The Road Map Nobody Asked For

By Rat

Back when we were passing paperbacks around in high school English class, the authors were supposed to be writing warnings, not instruction manuals. Orwell, Huxley, Bradbury—they gave us cautionary tales. But lately? It feels like the world treated those books like a choose-your-own-adventure buffet and decided to load up on every single plate.
Look around. We’ve got the soma-soaked, algorithm-distracted daze of Brave New World. We’ve got the doublethink and revisionist noise of 1984. We’re burning ideas in digital firestorms like Fahrenheit 451, while the pigs run the show straight out of Animal Farm. Throw in some Mad Max supply-chain road rage and a faint, creeping suspicion that we’re plugged into The Matrix, and suddenly the Venn diagram starts to overlap.
Right dead center.
That little red map pin isn’t a punchline; it’s a reality check. You Are Here. Right in the chaotic, absurd middle of every dystopian nightmare our generation grew up reading under flashlights.
I didn’t design this tee to be polite or play nice with small talk. I made it because someone needs to point at the map and say the quiet part out loud. If the world is going to insist on turning classic literature into real-time theater, the least we can do is wear the coordinates on our chests.
Throw it on, grab an espresso, and let the tourists figure it out for themselves.
